Penicuik Community Theatre Group

Welcome to the web site for theatre and stage in Penicuik. Penicuik Community Theatre Group meet and perform in Penicuik Town Hall.

We are currently developing this site to reflect our full body of work including the history of all the shows including our archive photographs and memorabilia. This is going to take time due to the 50 years of archive material we have from all the various formats the theatre group has had over this period from the St Mungo's Players, the Penicuik Players and Penicuik Musical Society who have in recent history amalgamated as one theatre group.

As an active theatre company we are seeking to extend our following and appeal by producing plays, shows and musical productions to suit audiences and participants expectations alike. We welcome all members of the community to come and participate or support the shows as the audience. From Pantomime every December to One, Two and Three act Plays and Musicals there will always be an opportunity for you to be involved.

We appreciate that not everyone can do everything or wants to be involved with everything we produce so there is no all year commitment required, unless you want to of course. And our productions always need a crew backstage, costumes, props, scenery, lighting, sound, front of house personnel and of course actors.

We have great knowledge and are enthusiastic in keeping live theatre in Penicuik and reach a wide audience throughout the year. As a consequence we are able to offer some competitive advertising and sponsorship opportunities to the local community businesses which help keep us running through out the year. We appreciate the support we have received over the years.

If you want to get involved with the Theatre Group we will strive to accommodate you so come along on to our regular rehearsal and meeting place of the Town Hall on a Thursday at 7.30 pm

or get in touch via e-mail. marketing@penicuikcommunity.com
