Ghost Writer
This is a an exceptionally funny one act play written to help young and not so young actors learn skills of timing comic delivery and acting confidence. It tells the story of a young couple of novice writer’s writing their first thriller / who-dunnit type play when a long comes someone who may know better. The Ghost introduces several new characters to an already character packed Christiesc show. The director, producer and audience all have an affect on the outcome of the writting. With stop start continue action rewinds and slapstick the young actors have really produced a fantastic version of this very popular show.
The Fifteen Minute Hamlet by Tom Stoppard
Tom Stoppard wrote this show in 1971. He basically takes all the key lines of Hamlet, even if you have never seen Hamlet you will know these lines, and allows the actors to gallop through the story. Forgetting the pomp and ceremony of Shakespeare's original he blasts us with crazy links, hilarious off the script action and even slapstick fighting but despite this the whole story is told in fifteen minutes and then repeated in an exhausting two minutes! Our cast have done this fantastic play not only justice but I would say produced one of the best one act plays ever in our 30 year history.
